Imagine getting an asylum appointment from the U.S. government, showing up for your scheduled appointment, and then getting deported to a foreign prison. That's what happened to Andry Romero. He deserves due process.

The presumption that #asylum seekers can pay these fees says how little these politicians understand re individuals fleeing torture, persecution, + violence, forced to seek protection outside their own countries. Immoral, abhorrent, short-sighted + quite possibly illegal. 3/3
