On the day @NHSEngland announced the first sickle cell treatment in over 20 years, we celebrate @EAnionwu. In 1979, she helped create the first nurse led sickle cell screening centre and became the first sickle cell & thalassaemia specialist nurse in the #NHS. #BlackHistoryMonth
