And then one day, you find evidence that they weren't the man you think they were. Not a cheater, but a con artist. I've talked to eye witnesses who said my husband would put in minimal to no work, and even take customer receipts left behind and leave online reviews boasting about how great he was. He impersonated customers at work... And then when he was fired, he told me he just missed a day.... He was fired the first day from his next job. He told me they had never called him back. I don't know what I'm feeling. It's not grief, but it's longing for a man who never even existed.... I cared for him when he was sick.... There were others who stated when he was presented with a chore, he'd suddenly "get sick" but when excused, suddenly he'd get better. I was used... My care, my honesty... was exploited by a con artist who is now dead.
