This a welcomed step that RDFRA recently discussed with Minister for Defence Helen McEntee TD, that we hope will be followed-up with more measures to bring about a regenerated Reserve Defence Force.

An announcement of the new guidance is available for serving members on the ORA Workvivo page. This finally provides proper mechanisms, through the mechanism of Supplemental Military Service, to enable routine paid support activities on a proper legislative basis within Ireland.

RDFRA is very pleased to see the distribution of a new Guidance Document from the Office of Reserve Affairs, through the Chain of Command to RDF units on the matter of administration of Support Activities.

1/ RDFRA has recently received some difficult news about our member and comrade Mariusz Oplawski of the Naval Service Reserve. Mariusz was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in December of last year, and is currently undergoing specialist treatment in Poland.
