I’m honestly stunned by the number of people acting like Meredith losing her job was unfair. I’ve worked in the same industry for over 20 years, and every year I’m required to complete ethics training and SIGN a code of conduct. For those who believe personal and professional lives are completely separate—you’re mistaken. Our conduct outside of work reflects directly on our professional integrity. Ethics don’t magically turn on when you clock in and off when you clock out. If Meredith believes her various online actions were ethical, she is sadly mistaken. Losing her job was a NATURAL CONSEQUENCE of those actions. (Not to mention, holding a professional license is an additional layer of adherence to these same principles.) Companies AND licensing bodies have these policies for a reason: your actions everywhere speak to your integrity. Accountability isn’t just a workplace concept—it’s a LIFE standard. If you can’t understand that, then you’re contributing to the very problem you’re defending. “Be better.”

Thank you to all of our friends and supporters who have reached out to check on the Little LawGirl. Her spirit took a slightly bigger hit than her hand/phone. The haters say she shouldn’t be learning about real world stuff, and that I’m just out there TRYING to make money. Heaven forbid, a single mother try to work- driving two hours each way, on my own dime, in a consistent effort to ensure these court hearings see the light of day. Happy to report, we made it back in time for her to make her hair appointment 🫶
