@RealSeanB @MFparlay @OklahomaLocalSN The rule is in place because clock operators are human and don't consistently start the clock at exactly the right time. It was tested and shown that a player cannot receive the inbound and then shoot it in .3 seconds or less.

@RealSeanB @OklahomaLocalSN I believe thy rules exists for human error. I say it should’ve counted tbh bc this pic proves it. But you run this scenario 100 times it won’t count. He caught it halfway turned around, brought the ball down to shoot it, then shot it. Realistically it’s not counting.

That’s what the horn and backboard lights are there for!There is no discrepancy here there is no need to go no rule .3 second rule.
