Yet he quickly pivoted away from the attacker's antisemitic motives and the growing threat of radical Islam. Instead, he blamed “angry middle-aged white men” for stoking dangerous division in the country, along with Union Jack flags and Brexit. He even admitted removing a Union Jack from one of his own construction sites because he felt it was being used in a “negative” way. His football punditry can be shaky at times, but this social commentary is far worse. This is the same man who has remained completely silent on the UK grooming gang scandals, where networks of predominantly Pakistani men systematically abused tens of thousands of mostly white working-class girls over many years. As radical Islam becomes an increasing threat to British society, with rising antisemitism and terror incidents, Neville chooses to smear white men and national symbols rather than address the actual causes. Ridiculous!
