Heads up, neighbors! PennDOT announced that a periodic lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Old Forty Foot Road/Evansburg Road and Kerr Road starting Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you’re a senior 65 or older, you can ride SEPTA for free! Stop by my district office at 35 Evansburg Road with a valid form of ID and my staff can help you sign up for a free SEPTA Senior Fare Card! We are open Monday through Friday until 4:30 p.m.

@NorristownASD was a great host to more than 60 schools, with faculty and volunteers supporting participants as they completed skills tests and competed in team matches. It was a pleasure to be able to attend and watch students showcase their talent!

I had a great time visiting Norristown Area High School over the weekend for the Eastern PA State Robotics Championship! The event was amazing, and I had the opportunity to watch our Norristown team play in three matches.

Our bill (HB 1250) passed with bipartisan support in the PA House last summer, moving to the PA Senate Urban Affairs & Housing Committee where it has since remained without action.

It’s paramount that we find a balance between safeguarding our community water supplies while also fostering economic growth. We must ensure that our residents, communities, and environment are not disproportionately affected.

As a co-sponsor on numerous data center bills, I have also introduced my own legislation that would require data center projects with substantial water needs to proactively inform the state prior to construction.

During budget hearings, I asked PA Public Utility Commission Chairman DeFrank about how they are managing the impact and risks involved with data centers and water usage.

This week, the PA House Judiciary Committee passed a series of bills in support of our LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians. Two of those bills, from Rep. Kenyatta, were The Fairness Act and Marriage Equality, both championed by the LGBTQ + Equality Caucus and both of which I am a co-sponsor.
