We could export more 🇺🇸 LNG right now if Biden and Harris hadn’t held up permits.

Yesterday, Democrats called Dalilah’s Law xenophobic and downplayed her story in front of Dalilah and her family. Years ago, Dalilah’s Law would have passed with unanimous consent. Now, all Democrats in Transportation and Infrastructure’s markup voted against it. We won’t let them win. Pass Dalilah’s Law.

Illegal immigrants are not entitled to our jobs. American families deserve to share the roads with professional truckers who can read and speak English. Pass Dalilah’s Law.

On this day in history in 1918 President Woodrow Wilson signed the Standard Time Act into law, establishing the U.S. time zones we still use today and introducing daylight saving time (DST) nationwide for the first time. The change gave Americans an extra hour of evening sunlight as a wartime energy-saving measure during World War I. The concept dated back to 1784, when Benjamin Franklin suggested in a letter that people could save on candles by waking up earlier in summer. When the U.S. first tried DST in 1918, it faced strong opposition, especially from farmers, whose schedules were tied to the sun rather than the clock, making it harder to get goods to market. The modern schedule, with DST beginning on the second Sunday in March and ending on the first Sunday in November, was standardized by the Uniform Time Act of 1966 and extended to its current length by the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

I am proud to champion Dalilah’s Law. Dalilah’s story is becoming all too common in our nation. One tragic crash by an unqualified driver changed a little girl’s life forever. Our families are at stake every day on our own roads. It’s time to pass Dalilah’s Law and put safety first.

Known to millions as the host of DIRTY JOBS, Mike Rowe has spent years shining a spotlight on the people whose hard work keeps America running. - "Work ethic is not a skill - it's a choice." Nearly 7 million skilled trade jobs may need to be filled in the U.S. by 2030 as older workers retire. All we have to do is look to history - civilizations have always depended on craftsmen. The future will depend on it. 🇺🇸 (Image by Gemini)

I’ve been a trucker for 40 years, I always have my CDL in my pocket. I know what it takes to get a CDL and what it takes to be a trucker. These so-called “instructors” don’t, and they’re handing 80,000 pound trucks to anyone with a pulse. Truckers stand with Dalilah’s Law.

On this day in history in 1852 Henry Wells and William G. Fargo launched their namesake business, Wells Fargo, which is now one of the world’s largest banks. After the discovery of gold in California, demand for reliable cross-country shipping surged. Wells Fargo saw an opportunity and began transporting freight by stagecoach from the East Coast to the mining camps of Northern California. The company soon expanded into banking. In 1866, it merged with other Pony Express and stagecoach lines to become the dominant transportation company in the American West. Wells Fargo later expanded into the railroad industry and operated approximately 6,000 locations. After World War I, the U.S. government nationalized domestic shipping routes, and the company ended its transportation and delivery business when its operations were consolidated into the American Railway Express. Today, Wells Fargo focuses solely on banking and remains one of the largest financial institutions in the United States.

Senators Ossoff and Warnock are against the SAVE America Act and against their constituents. A majority of Georgia Democrats, Republicans, and Independents support election integrity.

I am proud to have cosponsored the SAVE America Act, which passed the House, but it can’t stop there. Today, this important legislation is being considered on the Senate floor. America’s elections must be secure. Pass the SAVE America Act.
