We didn’t have huge drivers, hybrids or rocket balls. When I started our 462y 7th hole was Driver/4W. By the time I left, at 47yrs old, I could reach it with 6-iron.

In the days before every par 5 was a gift birdie, and before every 420y par 4 was a drive and pitch….how did the old timers shoot 65 on a 6,800y course when a 7-iron shot was 145y and par 5s were three-shotters?
