On Sunday I had, once again, the pleasure, great honour and privilege to present the French Legion of Honour to a Canadian Hero, George Beardshaw, veteran of WWII. George was also celebrating his 99th birtday! The French people will be forever greatful for their sacrifice.

Today I presented the French Légion of Honour to Mr Doug Rickard, a Canadian veteran who landed in Dieppe on August 19, 1942. The rehearsal of D Day. Mr Rickard will be 103 year old in a few days. I felt so honoured and privileged. Merci
