I feel sorry for the young US troops on their way to the stupidest war I’ve witnessed. They’ll be maimed & killed & will achieve nothing for their country or humanity. And their elected officials don’t seem to care enough to do anything to protect them from their President.

We hired a consulting firm to tell us why our profits are down. They sent three 24-year-olds wearing vests. They spent two months interviewing us about our own jobs. Then they put our answers into a PowerPoint presentation. They charged us $250K for this privilege. During the final readout, one of them used the phrase synergy optimization without blinking. I looked around the conference room. Our CEO was nodding like he just received the Ten Commandments. The grand conclusion was that we need to increase revenue and decrease costs. I could've told them that for a gift card to Panera. But nobody listens to the guy who works here. You only listen to the guy who flies in on a Tuesday. I'm updating my resume to include synergy optimization. It feels like the right move.

This video has been doing the rounds today. Many saying the landing was scary and the pilot would be getting a coffee-less chat with their Chief Pilot. None of these people know what they’re talking about!! High winged aircraft use a different crosswind landing technique when compared to other airliners. They fly using a ‘wing down’ technique and not one where the aircraft flies nose into wind. This technique means that often the upwind wing is lower than downwind, and the upwind main gear often touches down first. In my view, and I’ve done a few of these, this is a text book wing down landing. Good job. #aviation #pilotlife #pilot #FactsNotClickbait

@John_Dabell There is a very reliable park and ride - removes the hassle of trying to park at either end of town. I use it to ensure I can be in the hospital in time to see my patients!

I had three hospital appointments today. Hardest part? Trying to find a space to park. I spent 45 minutes driving round the hospital. No spaces. Eventually parked two miles away and walked in. Parking is often the most stressful part of attending hospital.
