Caught on Camera: Putin’s Guard Refers to Crowd as “Extras”
Russian state broadcaster Vesti has released footage of the bunker-dweller’s visit to Kazan. In the recording, one of Putin’s security guards can be heard referring to the crowd as “extras.”
Then again, it’s hardly a secret that random people haven’t been allowed anywhere near Putin for years without extensive background checks and clearance, while his rare appearances among the public increasingly resemble a poorly rehearsed stage production.
Still, letting something like that slip on camera is unprofessional even by those standards.
