It is with a heavy heart, I write to inform our Ruby Community that Andrew LaBarre, former 3rd grade teacher, passed away the evening of June 27, 2022 after battling ALS.

Historically, school ballot initiatives in Alameda have come down to a difference of a couple of hundred votes. THIS IS A DRAG YOUR FRIENDS TO THE POLLS SITUATION. Every vote matters. Please support our kids and our schools and vote now to support Measure B.

Election day is fast approaching and voting results are indicating that the vast majority of our parents and long-term school supporters have NOT YET voted to support Measure B. PTA is reaching out to our supportive parent community to encourage everyone to vote!

Our final PTA meeting of the school year is Tuesday May 24, 2022 at 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome and the Zoom link will be shared via Parent Square.

PTA has helped with money so that the families of my classroom did not have to donate in order for our class to go to places like the Black Diamond Mines in Antioch or to Ardenwood Farms in Fremont.

A message from Mr. Manalisay (5th Grade): In the past the PTA has been very helpful in providing funds for Field Trips. The cost for transportation to and from our school for school trips can be expensive and cost prohibitive.

From Ms. Lisle (1st Grade): I am very grateful for the support the PTA offers Ruby Bridges and my classroom. We have greatly enjoyed the events put on by the PTA during the year. The Dance-A-Thon is still talked about and my students regularly wear their t-shirts to school!
