We were very fortunate to spend time with Chris at RubyConf Mini, where he gave a lightning talk about new research being done on the Ruby language. He spent much of his time uplifting and advocating for the work of others. We are devastated by his loss and will miss him dearly.

Also, yesterday I gave a lightning talk that was a lightning song, "Coding With Ruby". It was about a time I was coding Ruby in my home office, and barely even noticed that the sun had gone down and the room was dark. To the tune of "Under the Boardwalk".
