To celebrate Book Week Scotland we read Room on the Broom and then used pictures to sequence the story. We had lots of fun playing the Room on the Broom games from the story sack. 📖@SMOSPrimary @SMOSreads

On Friday we celebrated Road Dahl Day by reading an extract from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and analysing key characters🍫 We then created our own characters which we would feel would fit into the book📚 @SMOSPrimary @SMOSreads

Today we have been reading The Enormous Crocodile 🐊 to celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday 🥳 Look at our enormous crocodiles that we made! Our primary 7 buddies came up to help ⭐️ @SMOSPrimary @SMOSreads @P7_SMOS

We wrote poems about The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me. In the book Roald Dahl wrote lots of rhymes. ⭐️ @SMOSPrimary @SMOSreads

The children loved reading “The Witches” by Roald Dahl. We explored the language he used to describe the Grand High Witch and then used our knowledge to create artwork. @SMOSreads @SMOSPrimary #RoaldDahlDay

Each class will be celebrating Roald Dahl's birthday tomorrow. We will be listening to an extract from one of his stories and learning new words! We are very excited! 📖 @SMOSPrimary
