Y10 taking part in International Space competition @RAF_Henlow with @SPFlanguages. 3 teams - French, German & Spanish. Great to see students doing physics and engineering in their language groups.

Our D&D group - their characters are all Physicists and Engineers working in the Hubble Team.  Their consciousness has been transported to the rogue planet Exlaris so they can restore the Hubble telescope which has been stolen. #NASATTRPG #dnd

It's a small world. But how big is it? The Royal Astronomical Society are using citizen science in a fun experiment to gather data to determine the size of our beautiful planet. Go to schoolsobservatory.org/solstick and have a go.

Year 9 have been enjoying learning about radioactive decay using plasticine, bluetack or pieces of coloured paper. Need to improvise when remote learning!

How do SPF Physics open their chocolate Santa? We build a vacuum cannon, of course, then load it up with a snowball (ping pong ball) and let it fly. Recorded in slow-motion and using data-logging the exit velocity was 145 mph! Inspired by @physicstp at this years #SPEED2019.
