Below👇👇👇 a fantastic thread on a new study co-authored by @NMNH paleontologist Brian Huber. This work draws on deep time and southern high latitudes to provide further evidence of the connection between increases in atmospheric CO2 and the warming of the planet and the ocean.

This #FossilFriday we’re sharing a new study co-authored by @NMNH paleontologist Brian Huber and published in Global Planetary Change, that gives further evidence of the connection between increases in atmospheric CO2 and the warming of the planet, specifically the ocean.

@V_Albert1 @RobOgden10 @clycaon @WildlifeForensi Interesting question! Most labs are used to carrying out sequence analysis for species id, so even with species specific primers the habit is to sequence. However I’ll pass your query to the Technical Working Group and let you know!

Concerned about the scarcity of specific qPCR/RT-PCR assay for species ID in wildlife forensics… Is it an issue in Court admissibility of the method? Anyone has already used it in a forensic context or defended the method in Court? @SWFS3 @RobOgden10 @clycaon @WildlifeForensi
