@RyanDetrick I'm comparing your results to Wayne Whaley's Saturday post on the same data setup. It looks like you may have accidentally included the down month in the forward performance calculation.

The monthly win streak for the S&P 500 is likely over at 5 months. 3 and 6 month returns after are weak, but note that 12 months later higher 6 out of 6 times. After the historic run off the late October lows some type of consolidation shouldn't be a big surprise.

Another interesting tidbit as we head into March. The S&P 500 is 4 trading days away from a 4 month winning streak ending in February. 4-month winning streaks ending in February have then never seen the S&P 500 close the remainder of the current calendar year lower. 13 for 13 to the upside for average returns of ~14%.

The past 2 yrs brought great learning experiences for me - I could not have asked for a better team to learn from and work alongside. I am forever grateful. I have requested to step back in the classroom and am excited to return home. Going back to where it all began.
