Many people have been asking why the @savewhiteinch campaign is still on the go, now that the library is finally open. 1/n

The campaign's work has now been immortalised at the Mitchell Library. They have stored and catalogued a range of materials, mainly handmade protest items that were displayed outside Whiteinch Library during the protest period. libcat.csglasgow.org/web/arena/save…

Victoria Park Community Trust has secured funds to repaint the outside of the toilet block in Victoria Park with a mural based on the theme of the pond and its birdlife. The attached images are a draft of the proposals.

You set up a ‘Friends Group’ to support the library and hopefully the staff who work there. You end up running some sort of ‘service’ from the building after the staff lose their jobs. Can you see the problem? #libraries #volunteerism
