Previously shared: Let’s GIV a NOD(2) to gut homeostasis Here, Pradipta Ghosh & team @UCSanDiego find a critical interaction between GIV and NOD2 in gut macrophages, revealing their importance in maintaining gut health and preventing inflammatory bowel diseases (#IBD): doi.org/10.1172/JCI190… The TEM images show phagolysosomal fusion events in infected macrophages from WT mice but not those from those lacking GIV.
