I talked to someone at a PC yesterday and he didn't remember what Urshifu's name was so he referred to them as "The 2 DLC Monkeys" which is honestly pretty accurate

@TwistedGengar I mean… the wildfires started a week ago. They started planning to get the event way before they started (they are also hosting the event on a different island than the wildfires). Would you have rather say “Hey sorry, we don’t know where Worlds 2024 will be yet”.

Worlds could have been held anywhere, but they decided to host it in one of the few places that are begging for people to stop coming.
