The safety net provided by NHS that's there for physical illness is not there for folks with #mentalhealth problems; it's like pre-NHS era.

@jaunty_aphorism Oh I'm so sorry your GP threw you off their list - I wish there was someone who could help you sign up with a new one - GP care is the minimum you need It's no wonder you feel unwell - but hopefully the drink will help replenish you a bit - do you think you can drink some more?

Tips on food/drink pls 🙏. Struggling with eating or drinking anything atm. All my safe foods (crunchy, salty, beige) are unsafe. Am feeling quite unwell now after a couple of weeks of barely anything - how do I get past the feeling of not wanting my mouth environment to change?

@jaunty_aphorism Well done! I'm relieved the drink was bearable I know this is all so difficult for you Hopefully the electrolytes and carbs will help you to feel a bit better, and it's something you can incorporate and do again

@Sectioned_ So I was rather dubious at first, bc it didnt dissolve immediately & had a weird smell, but overall it was like slightly salty water, which was bearable, & I managed the whole glass 🙂🥛❤️

@jaunty_aphorism Oh cool - a friend takes that electrolyte solution Well done - it's a good start! Fingers crossed it arrives soon and is palatable 🤞🤞 Some carbs would be good too - have you tried rice water (the water that rice is boiled in)? Or maltodextrine powder? It's almost flavourless

@MentalHealthCop The question "What are NHS mental health services for?" - or rather "What do NHS head honchos think NHS mental health services are for?" - arises, yet again Ffs

@Sectioned_ We had a very sad situation in my service a bit like this where there simply wasn't enough evidence to charge a man who was very ill - not just police opinion, but CPS as well. Services still declined to act - had to threaten an out of hours High Court application. 🙄

When NHS head honchos approve policies that disregard the law and leave staff to implement those policies and treat policy as if it trumps law we get f*cked up sh*t like staff deliberately not doing a Mental Health Act assessment on someone known to be seriously ill Ffs
