Inchbrook is another example. Springs and fast flowing streams powered the local cloth trade from spring water inching its way down the valleys. How fitting to discover Angie Parker continuing the tradition of weaving with hand-woven textiles at @studio_article in Inchbrook Mill!

There is a poetry in some toponyms, a poetry that sometimes reflects the watery genius loci of Stroud and the five valleys. How fitting to discover Susan Early, at Frogmarsh Mill, weaving with willow. Baskets, both traditional and useful, sculptures and decorative pieces too.

Ahead of the weekend, read about Stuart Butler's cyclogeographical trip around the Select Arts Trail. A Poet, Writer,Teacher & Historian, Stuart is a specialist in performative walking and local history, and a member of Radical Stroud.
