🥚 Egg News Update! 🐣 Today has been FULL of egg-citement — we’ve heard lots of cheeping, the eggs have cracked, and we can already see new life beginning to appear! Every child has had the chance to visit the incubator and look for tiny changes... Hatch day is officially here!

🥚 Egg News Day 2! 🥚 Yesterday, there were no cracks or wiggles… zero signs of hatching just yet! Our little mystery eggs were just chillin’, but we did hear some cheeping toward the end of the day! Stay tuned for more egg‑citing updates — we’re all on hatch watch! 👀💛

This week Year 5 have dissected flowering plants and described the life cycle, including the reproductive stages.

🌟 Year 4 Road Safety Rangers! 🚦👮‍♀️ Today, Year 4 took part in a fantastic Road Safety talk where we officially became Safety Rangers! The children loved investigating a mock traffic collision — gathering clues, researching evidence, and working together.

🐣🌼 Join the FOSS Easter Egg Hunt! FOSS are excited to invite all pupils to take part in our Easter Egg Hunt taking place in school on Friday 27th March! For just £3.00, children can enjoy a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt and every paying child will receive a prize!

Class Photo day today! We are looking forward to welcoming David, from Purple Cow photography, to capture our class photos. Information for how to order will be sent home before the end of term.

A Big Thank You to Our Wonderful Visitors! As our week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank all of the incredible visitors who took time to come into school and speak in our assemblies. This Careers Week, our pupils heard from a chef, a pharmacist, and an engineer

Earlier this week, Mad Science visited our school to show our pupils what their after-school club is all about. Topics include Sound, Electricity, Light, States of Matter, Forces and Magnets, Earth and Space, and much more! Information about this club has been emailed out.

WBD at Shelley First School! Thank you to everyone for all the effort made with costumes, assembliy prep, quizzes, lunch and classroom reading times! It was all worth it. We might have a few extra photos to share by the end of the week, so keep checking.

To celebrate national bread week year 3 enjoyed making their own bread shapes, using their math skills to measure and then DT skills to need and shape their dough. Thank you to Sara, our school cook, we had a lovely lesson and we are looking forward to eating our bread at home.

Celebrate World Book Day at Lunchtime! On Thursday 5th March, we will be serving up a storybookinspired menu full of tasty surprises! All children are invited to enjoy and not miss out on our World Book Day lunch. Let’s make this a lunchtime worth reading about!
