Richie’s family would be listed as “Kirsch” on records, and bg checks don’t have pictures like that. Again, unless they needed a reason to, Kirby and Gail wouldn’t have dug for family photos.
Det. “Bailey” would have also claimed to have “cleared the family” as suspects.

Evidence in 2 suggested a copy cat killer, and evidence in 6 suggested crazed Stab fans after Sam. They wouldn’t have wasted resources looking for details about Richie’s family that wasn’t readily available.

Scream VI killer reveal/motive is flawed! Bailey, Quinn, and Ethan were related to Richie, but neither FBI agent Kirby Reed nor Gale Weathers conducted a background check into it. Not to mention the killers manage to steal 1000s of criminal evidence to make a shrine for Richie!

@robanthony90 Cops notoriously protect other cops. “Bailey” pulled strings to take that evidence, and he could easily get other cops/superiors to help him keep a police precinct in the dark about his real identity when he transferred.
So there was no need for Gail or Kirby to question him.
