@TeamYouTube I’ve tried signing out and in multiple times, changed my password at least once. I am 99% using the YouTube app on the phone and maybe occasionally the YouTube website on a laptop. Days I don’t even use the laptop I can wake up the next morning to two or three random subs.

Okay @YouTube this is starting to drive me nuts. Why are random channels showing up as subscribed when I’ve never seen them in my life. This has been going on for months now. It’s almost as bad as the progress bar on thumbnails just being wrong.

@TeamYouTube There are no extensions, just the phone app. It’s continuing to happen and I’m having to unsubscribe from them sometimes multiple times a week when they show up. Something is clearly broken.

@SnapeNinja If you get notifications for vids & channels that you didn't subscribe to, or content that you unsubscribed from, it might be due to a browser extension subscribing you w/out your permission. More info on the previous resource we shared

I called the division directly and waited nearly 2 hours with no response. I did just hang up cuz I had more important things to do.

@TPSOperations I called 33 Division to make a report regarding alleged harassment. I was transferred to the TPS communications centre, and have been on hold for more than two hours, and counting. Is there no better way to reach someone? Short of 911.

@9mmsmg Same situation for me, and for the people being like, well this or that conversation with friends. There is an expectation of privacy and we simply don’t of around reading each others texts. It’s not that hard. And even if she did I have no shame.

My wife has the unlock code for my phone. I have hers as well. We never asked for each other's codes in a moment of distrust. The information was just exchanged in our every day lives. I was in the pool one day and asked her to call someone to see when they were coming over and her phone was dead. I told her my code. I got her code in a similar fashion. We don't share phones universally, but if a phone or tablet is on the counter and we need to use it, regardless of whose it is, we open it up and use it. I just found out this was controversial yesterday. She texted my friend back from my phone. My friend talked to me later and was FREAKED OUT I let her have my pass code. What are people doing on their phones? It's not like she's some random girl I picked up at a club for the night.

@mario4thenorth This is a gross exaggeration of reality and largely police piping up fears in the hope of reducing crime. Tech like this largely does not exist for any sort of modern and updated phone, especially iPhones, and any sort of exploit like this requires physical access to set up.

@MartinaMarkota The sad reality is it’s a messed up culture that results in the cops responding like this. And it’s everywhere now. Been trying to think myself where is it safe to go and there really aren’t places not infected with this.

A black woman just sped at me in the Hudson 5 below parking lot while I was carying my child and she hit me when I tried to dodge her. Columbia county Sheriff’s office refuses to even write a report. They told me to file a civil complaint. If the races were swapped, there would be UPROAR. I do not feel safe in my hometown.

@greatshift @TeamYouTube They respond so quick then ignore everything else. Other people have reported this issue apparently but it isn’t acknowledged or addressed.

@TeamYouTube I also set the bell on nearly all channels I intentionally subscribe to. What a coincidence all these random accounts never have the bell set. So it’s not like I am doing this, or these are compromised accounts.

@TeamYouTube No one has access to my account or devices and I have checked my security settings on the account to make sure no other devices are connected. Yes I’ve unsubscribed from them all after I randomly find them. Then next week there is a new one or two.
