NG-3 Update: Today, we conducted a successful launch rehearsal for NG-3 and are now targeting a hotfire for the integrated launch vehicle on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Once in orbit, our Attitude Control Motor has done its job. As the largest controllable solid rocket motor and the only one rated for human spaceflight, it's designed to provide peace of mind and get astronauts away from danger during a launch, if needed. Here is its view as the Artemis II crew departed for their lunar flyby.

Propulsion is in our DNA 🧬 Rutherford engines have powered 85 launches. Curie has deployed more than 250 payloads to precise orbits. And Archimedes will power Neutron’s launches and landings. Now we’ve added our Gauss Hall thruster to enable in-space propulsion for demanding missions at constellation scale.

Meet Gauss: Our new in-house designed and built electric propulsion system. Electric propulsion satellite thrusters have historically proven extremely difficult to produce in high volumes, causing supply chain fragility for national security and commercial constellation operators alike. We’ve already established the Gauss production line, designed to produce more than 200 thrusters per year, ensuring we can supply thrusters on demand in large quantities.
