Management reserve the right to change their predictions at any point🤣 I think Three Bridges will be the 'surprise package'. Watched them a few times last season and they have got some great players that they did well to retain & play some great football.

A Message from the Chairman to the fans. When I took the club over at Christmas 2019, we were in a dire relegation battle at the bottom of Step 4. My overriding aim then, and now, has always been to match the Boys of ’72 and return this club to Step 2. In those early days, we had to release a whole squad of players and, much like yesterday, local teenagers stepped in to represent the club. When I looked around the stadium back then however, it wasn’t the lack of players that struck me - it was the empty stands. If we were ever going to match the Boys of ’72, who reached the highest level this club has ever played at, we needed supporters first. So we opened the club up to the town. And I’m overwhelmed by how the town has responded. What has followed has been incredible. 1,600 at Wimbledon. 3,000 in a home FA Cup first round win 3,000+ sell-out derbies. 1,000 at Hythe celebrating our title win Home play-off games. 1,000 at Aveley for a cup final Home attendances consistently over 1,000. Nearly 1,000 kids in our youth section. Hundreds in our holiday programmes. Post-16 academy squads based full-time at the club. But, despite all of that, it was yesterday that reinvigorated me. Just like in 2019, we had a team of young players giving everything for us. The difference this time? They had 1,300 Ramsgate supporters behind them. Kids on bouncy castles. Families enjoying the spring sunshine. Bars and kitchens full. Ramsgate shirts and scarves everywhere - even on the dogs. Two Ramsgate sides represented us in cup finals before the game. An all-Ramsgate U16 derby took place on the pitch after. A packed clubhouse celebrated the players’ awards into the evening. That is what this club has become. Sitting here on a spring Sunday morning, I genuinely feel we now have the strongest base we’ve ever had to push towards Step 2. We’ve built this platform alongside a sustainable football model that ensures we can compete without risking the club’s future. This summer, subject to final planning, we move forward again. We are one of the few clubs at this level operating around an annual accounting break-even position, in a landscape where many clubs sustain significant losses. That discipline is central to protecting the club’s long-term future. Many great people have played their part in getting us here, with Ian Heath a constant at my side. But make no mistake - this platform has been built by you, the supporters. Now we move into a huge week as we appoint the management team to lead the next phase of this journey. The goal hasn’t changed. We are building towards Step 2 - together. Come on you Rams! James.

@RamsgateFC Good decision. Started well but was never going to take the club to step 2. Underspending the budget led to kids on the bench in the cup final. Recruitment and player turnover was poor. Style of football, terrible! Long ball, long ball 😴

Club Statement – Thank you Lee Martin Ramsgate FC will begin the process of appointing a new first team manager following the departure of Lee Martin. As we reflect on the season, it feels the right time to provide an update on the managerial position. When Lee Martin came into the club, we were in a difficult position and facing the real possibility of relegation. His remit was simple - to keep us in the league. Lee achieved that. Results improved quickly and, at one stage, we even found ourselves looking towards the play-off places, which is a credit to the work done during that period. However, a challenging recruitment period leading into March meant that, over the final six weeks of the season, the playing budget was significantly underspent. That period has been reflected in our recent run of results, with six defeats from our last seven games, including this week’s cup final. This decision reflects the direction we want to take as a club, not any one result. As a club, our culture has always been about looking forwards. It’s a mindset that has taken us from the brink of Step 5 to competing at Step 3, and now to a position where we are able to look towards Step 2. As planned, Seb Tidey will step down from his role on the committee at the end of the season. A significant part of Seb’s work with the club has been contributing to the development of a new strategic document, which sets out a very specific plan for the footballing side of the club. To give ourselves the best possible chance of success on the pitch, we believe it is important to explore the market and identify the right manager to deliver that plan. One thing that remains incredible is our supporters. Their backing is the reason we now find ourselves knocking on the door of promotion to Step 2, and we are unwavering in our determination to match their ambition and push this club forward. We would like to place on record our thanks to Lee for the job he has done. He came in at a difficult time, helped realign our objectives, and ensured the club moves forward from a stable position. Seb Tidey, Tom Hadler and Mark Buckingham will take charge of the remaining two games of the season. The club will now invite applications for the role of first team manager from candidates with experience of building teams capable of challenging for promotion to Step 2. Applications should be submitted to chairman@ramsgate-fc.co.uk

“We need the crowd to be the 12th man.” Lee Martin Saturday’s a big one. Lee’s first home game in charge and the lads have been flat out on the training ground all week. Now it’s time to bring that energy to Southwood. We’ve seen what this place can be when the fans get behind the team. Let’s make it loud, let’s make it Ramsgate. Ramsgate vs @cheshuntfcscore 📅 Saturday, 8th November | ⏰ 3pm 🏟️ Southwood Stadium Let’s be the 12th man. ❤️🤍

@RamsgateFC A shame, but ultimately a good decision. Hopefully a new manager can be appointed sooner rather than later.

Club Statement: Thank You Ben Ramsgate Football Club can today confirm that Ben Smith has stepped down as First Team Manager and will take up a new role on the club’s committee. Ben understands the heart and soul of this football club and the community that it exists within. With a blossoming career developing away from the field, his experience and leadership will continue to add huge value off it. It’s well known that Ben guided Ramsgate to a televised FA Cup Second Round tie just two years ago, followed by a championship-winning, 109-point season last campaign. What’s less well known is his vital contribution to our Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes — work that directly benefits hundreds of local families. Ben will continue to lead on these programmes and support our funding bids aimed at improving club infrastructure and community opportunities. The club can also confirm that Lee Martin will take charge as Interim Manager while we take time to review our next steps, supported by existing first-team staff. We have a strong squad — seven of Saturday’s starters were part of last season’s title-winning side, which Lee was also part of, famously scoring the winner against Woking in the FA Cup First Round. Applications for the permanent First Team Manager position are now open. Interested candidates should email chairman@ramsgate-fc.co.uk. A minimum of Step 3 management experience is essential. The club will also undertake a review of training venues, locations and schedules as part of the recruitment process.

We’re delighted to announce the return of Lee Martin! Lee rejoins Ramsgate for his third spell with the club, this time as a player/coach. Having previously scored 8 goals in 78 appearances, Lee was a key figure in our 2024/25 title-winning campaign and wrote his name into Rams history by netting the winner against Woking in the 2023 FA Cup First Round. Welcome home Marts 🔴⚪🐏

(P) Billericay Town FC
Billericay Town FC can confirm that, following discussions, the club and Joe Taylor have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. Joe has conducted himself with professionalism and integrity throughout his time here. While both parties had hoped for a longer-term contribution, circumstances have meant that things haven’t aligned as expected. Joe is at a stage in his career where regular first-team football is a priority, and we fully respect his desire to pursue opportunities that offer more consistent game time. We thank Joe for his efforts and the respectful manner in which this decision was reached. He leaves with our best wishes, and we’re confident he will be a success wherever his next chapter takes him.
