Rewatching The Comeback with my parents. Halfway through Season 2, my dad turns around and says “This is desperate, why’s she doing all this? She must be mad.” And at that point I found out my dad thought it was a documentary about Lisa Kudrow trying to revive her career 🥲💀

Bless him he’s a 67 year old Northern Irish man who’s only ever seen Lisa in Friends 😭

@myeoghanprivatx @moviegoery Also the character masssssively helped her public image - all of a sudden she went from being perceived as an “ice queen” by the general public/casual viewer, to a sympathetic, warm, relatable human being (especially for women)

It’s still so funny to me how people suddenly “rediscovered” how talented Nicole Kidman is after Big Little Lies 😂 the real ones always knew.

@myeoghanprivatx Truly the unsung achievement of the film. Then again, I’d argue the whole thing is operating on elite level ‘90s time capsule brilliance - the editing, soundtrack/score, costumes, production design, hair and makeup. Nicole is ofc the iconic attraction, but the overall film is 💯

What is the most healing Nicole Kidman film to watch. Not necessarily uplifting, but the one that helps you reset. I say Practical Magic. But open to Fur an Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus, or Birth. Possibly The Hours.

@myeoghanprivatx Call me crazy but I’ve watched it six times in the past year and I never tire of it. Never fails to beguile, excite, surprise me every time - mainly due to Kidman’s performance. One of her greatest, for those little micro-expressions that reveal so much about her character.
