On that note, pre season starts next Tuesday (4th) at stoke recreation ground. Everyone welcome! Please come along we could do with some fresh blood in both teams. We’ve got a holding midfielder who’s time is up and somehow still started most games last season. PSA pre season.

Apologies to anyone that got offended by my earlier tweet, I should not be using such words as ‘woeful’. I am thankful for referee’s and their time at our level and appreciate the hard work they put in to keep the game running.

I would however like to spread some love today, @AshcottFC reserves had a centre half, that must have survived both world wars and still continues to play at grass routes level. Who was absolutely exceptional, your grandkids must be proud. Our MOTM.

I also apologise for the break from this platform. The league sent a letter threatening legal action and fines to the club if the tweets didn’t stop. I took the Christmas period to think about it and we held a vote as a club (I decided) that we don’t care.

Last pre season game done, big thanks to @CrewkRangersFC for travelling and taking up the offer late notice. MOM goes to our number 2 today. Superb performance in the first half as wingback before slotting seamlessly into the back 3 to ensure the clean sheet. Top work.
