@StourWolves I was at that West Ham game. Thought decision was debatable as keeper wasn’t saving it but Wolves player was in his eyeline. Today was slightly different as Bernardo does move away - albeit after contact. (I was joking about debate over).

#WOLMCI – 95’ VAR OVERTURN Stones’ goal was disallowed on-field due to Bernardo Silva being in an offside position and in the goalkeeper’s line of vision. The VAR deemed Bernardo Silva wasn’t in the line of vision and had no impact on the goalkeeper and recommended an on-field review. The referee overturned his original decision and a goal was awarded.

@StourWolves @sistoney67 There are always grey areas, there have to be, so if they did say that (I’d like to see evidence) then that was a stupid thing to say.
But again, it looks like this is not the same as today’s. Silva was well out of the way. He was to the side and he was ducking.

@rickamcbride @sistoney67 PGMOL last season said there were no grey areas. A player in that situation was offside. What has happened in 6 months

@StourWolves @sistoney67 I’d need to see a different angle to be sure but it looks like he is stood right between the keeper and the ball there. So not identical at all.
