The Swallows won their home opener against the Carp 8-3. Ogawa went 5.2 innings allowing 3 runs while the bullpen held strong. Osuna (1) and Masuda (1) both blasted a home run along with Iwata, Koga and Maruyama having timely hits brought Yakult the victory. Record 4-0-0.

Pitcher Yu Hirosawa made his debut today during the Swallows home opener out of the bullpen. For such a milestone, manager Ikeyama presented him with the game ball.

Jose Osuna is today’s player of the game for his first home run of the season while driving in 2 RBIs and with 2 hits.

The Swallows win 8-3 over the Carp on the home opener. Yakult begins the season to now an undefeated 4-0 record.

Yudai Koga and Kazuya Maruyama put up 2 run in the 8th inning. It is now 8-3 Swallows.

It is 6-3 Swallows leading over the Carp in the 7th inning. Shu Masuda with a 2 RBI home run in the 5th inning, opened the score for Yakult.

During today’s game, the return of our beloved mascot Tsubakuro took place. It has been over a year since the tragic passing of the original suit performer. It is great to see our Swallow friend once again.

@JustinChVelasco Unfortunately there’s not a go to site officially. I’ve used FOD TV which requires a VPN and costs $6 a month but there are plenty of other sites for free but a lot are hit or miss.

Yasuhiro Ogawa will be the starting pitcher tomorrow during the home opener at Meiji Jingu Stadium against the Hiroshima Carp.

The Swallows sweep the BayStars 5-3. The offense was completely shut out until the 8th inning when a rally began which scored 5 runs. Santana (3 RBIs), Osuna and Hashimoto collected timely hits which contributed to the comeback. Kota Shoji is credited with the win. Record 3-0-0.
