@TankBossKev I like ST stuff lol. The storyline just didn't grab me that much. Villains were underdeveloped. Nostalgia was in overdrive and kinda felt like a replacement for substance. Just meh.

@spatially This is something I could see. My kids are a bit older now but they used to be into that online gaming stuff tough. Kids would say the wildest shit and I would listen to some of it and get highly offended. And truth be told it was all of them, no sides, just assholes and anarchy.

If you aren’t in the gamer and meme cultures this whole assassin ideology just doesn’t make sense.  It’s because the ideology is not linear.  Being a whole online generation kids have engage in proliferation of online spaces since Minecraft.  Spaces like Discord/Roblox/Mincraft/reddit/x/Tiktok/blah are the perfect intersection of EVERYONE good or ill.    These are radicalization platforms by the nature of what the algorithm rewards.  This creates a patchwork of belief systems that defy the traditional left-right continuum because they are developed a meme at a time.   -Gamer culture is anti-PC/misogynistic  -Accelerationist for radical friction -White Nationalist/Nazis -Antifa -Groypers trolling, antisemitism, nationalism and Christian -Pro-Palestine groups -The manosphere/tate/rapey weird misogyny -Christian nationalist -LGBTQ+ These groups above most of us understand.  Then there are super weird people also are in these space casting weird grooming nets (nihilist/intelligence agencies/bad actors/o9a/insert weird thing) cosplaying/participating actively in “Meme Culture” seeding ideas and actions.   These folks get enrolled into ideas because they liked a fucking.  meme culture is what glues it all together w/ ironic detachment in a way which unimaginable by people over 30.  We didn’t have a word for incel a decade ago, maybe we have something new to name. These folks are engaging in a post-modern politics where kids mashup libertarianism, authoritarianism, and nihilism thanks to memes which sit best with them.    The left right binary is no longer reality for these online individualists.  Just my take on this madness. What’s yours? words > violence
