@TeachAskWhy @edutopia I like the point of never sitting down. Student work periods are the busiest for the teacher because of the guidance and clarification we’re providing. I also like to set goals for the work period. “When you leave class, aim to have X done.”

"Theory and practice woven together in a perfect balance from the first chapter to the last." @DrSunainaSharma's and @TeachAskWhy's The It Factor presents a compelling case for educators to embrace inquiry as a powerful tool for continuous improvement. Drawing on research and practical insights, this book delves into the transformative potential of teacher-led inquiry, offering a roadmap for educators to enhance their practice and enrich student learning. #Codebreaker 📚 🔗buff.ly/4aH7Mra

Blind peer review feedback can be tough, sometimes prompting tears and often leaving me questioning my ability to publish in academic journals. Yet, uplifting comments like this remind me why I persevere! 💪 #AcademicWriting #Resilience

@MmeLockhartLDSB In secondary, we like them too! They are the right price to have a box ready to give away for students in need of a writing utensil. I don’t know why, but many of my boys prefer short pencils. Your post might be a clue for why - early success in writing!

@MonteSyrie I’ve started to reframe my responses to students with “can I” questions to begin with “why would I say no?”. If the student can’t think of a reason why, I’m not going to give them mine. Engaging in the conversation is more important than a no. 😁
