If you're building a game, we're deploying $30M over the next 30 days and we want you to be one of those startups. Here's what we're looking for in game studios:

I feel like focusing so much on "a full node" of an L2 is missing the point? The key question from a user's perspective is: what level of assurance do you have that your transaction is accepted? There are two levels: 1. Bonded sequencer preconfirmation: EITHER your transaction is accepted OR the sequencer loses >= N ETH or other tokens This can be extended further with Stakesure ideas: EITHER your transaction is accepted OR you get compensated some pre-agreed amount by the sequencer 2. L1 confirmation: EITHER your transaction is accepted OR L1 reverts (and even if L1 reverts, incentives can force the sequencer to be honest. And L1 reverting becomes impossible once L1 finalizes) L1 and L2 are fundamentally different, making an L1 is much harder because you don't have another thing that you can lean on for decentralization/security. L2 users don't need to self-execute because they can lean on the L2's proof system (and this becomes even more true as our ecosystem moves to validity proofs more and more)

为什么市场唱衰以太坊的声音总是此起彼伏？简单来说：以太坊生态系统确实面对内忧外患的焦灼处境，内有layer2等扩展方案一直挺不起脊梁，外有Solana等杀手始终亡我坊之心不死，创新乏力和竞争压力下的以太坊迎来了至难时刻。接下来，简单谈谈我的看法： 1）以太坊Rollups的大小生态系统已经成型，坎昆升级EIP-4844之后，以太坊短期技术层面的利好已然落定。更长期的分片链在Rollup冲击下已不再预期，而降低节点成本、简化协议以及底层ZK-SNARKs化等升级又仅是锦上添花。整个区块链行业都在等龙二以太坊交出一份满意的layer2答卷，然而截止目前，layer2并没有承载以太坊的“增长”预期。 2）实在讲，Rollups能从Plasma、Validium甚至平行链等多种扩展方案中脱颖而出，全在于Rollups采纳了一种执行和状态、结算等分层处理的主次链组合交互范式。正常逻辑下，layer2在确立一种和主网交互的安全共识之后，接下来就该强化并放大执行层上的性能处理优势，给以太坊主网输入增量用户和生态才对。 然而事实是，大部分layer2却选择了进行商业叙事级别的叠杠杆套娃，走Stack战略拉同盟，共享组件牵入layer3应用链，还有Rollup as a Service、DA as a Service、甚至AVS as a Service等等。这些乍一看能无限放大layer2商业和叙事想象空间的策略，都只能更长期叠加市场的预期杠杆，在扩大应用生态和赋能币价等方面并不能立竿见影。 （首页置顶文我写了《百链竞发下半场，BTC layer2何去何从？》反响还不错，近期会写文系统展开我对以太坊layer2何去何从的思考，敬请期待，可小铃铛关注） 3）很长一段时间，总有人嘲笑以太坊Gas费 1Gwei，以此来讥讽以太坊layer2战略方向的失败，但换个角度看，这何尝不是以太坊靠layer2解决拥堵、Gas费高等问题的阶段性成功？只不过，糟糕的是layer2不仅没有以太坊带来预期的巨大生态和交易量，甚至还分流了一部分流量出走了。 实际上，layer2在解决以太坊性能不足能力上算成功的，OP-Rollup和ZK-Rollup阵营的竞争内卷也到达的白热化的程度，但选阵营搞infra而非纯应用创新暴露了以太坊开发者社区一个很尴尬的现状：过度依赖VC融资驱动发币而并非真正的价值创新。 尽管这是web3行业流入开发者人才越多，以及VC的资金流入趋多，进而竞争内卷加剧的直接结果。虽然创业门槛变高本来可以是市场趋于成熟的表现，在Crypto早期阶段，过度的内卷则成了项目高FDV扼杀创新的始作俑者。试想一个项目顶着巨大的FDV，一切努力只为快速Go to Market，怎么会有时间来沉淀价值创新。而to VC最有效的就是堆叠B端的商业叙事，C端应用这类紧迫但却不性感的方向则一直不温不火。所以，才让市场感知到infra> application的失衡吧。 4）尽管，以太坊杀手的性感叙事已经在上一轮牛市中被证伪了，但这一轮Solana、Sui、Aptos、Sei等高性能公链都直戳以太坊EVM的“低性能”软肋。虽然都不再喊着杀死以太坊，但不可否认它们在性能上的高并发和特殊Move语言安全机制等层面确实能冲击到以太坊，尤其是可能成为新一代web3应用生态滋生的沃土，比如：DePIN、大型游戏、intent 交易、AI Agent等等。 这是我认为新一代高性能公链最大的机会，不再堆叠infra预期，直接凭应用崛起来向以太坊宣战。 或者说根本就无需宣战，用模块化思想把以太坊归置到“结算层”的单薄叙事上，用新模块化执行层，DA层、Unified 流动性层等对对以太坊过去建立的话语权体系进行重构，不也是一种竞合成功？对其他链是，对以太坊又何尝不是，然而，这是我在其他高性能链或模块化、链抽象链上看到的趋向，但似乎以太坊还只是“被动挨打”的姿态，即使在ETF这等超前性利好的前提下，也没能放下架子来应对。 5）很多人还在对另一次DeFi Summer抱有期待，但反思以太坊layer2的不及预期，我很无奈的接受了，DeFi Summer或许永不复来的事实。 @VitalikButerin 自己也很清楚，以太坊最大的困局可能就是过度的金融属性，DeFi这种承载金融属性的完美载体，既往成功经验和DeFi组合的无限套娃属性都让它天然契合人的投机偏好。以太坊生态此刻要考虑的不是重塑DeFi Summer，而恰恰是走出纯DeFi文化阴霾。 上一轮牛市横空出世的NFT，OpenSea由盛转衰也都未曾完全嵌套进DeFi框架内，但这并不影响NFT带领上一轮以太坊走出超强牛市，这一轮PolyMarket去中心化预测市场被重视，虽然并非新玩法，也不知道能不能掀起新生机，但好在，它也并非纯DeFi、或者说已经扩展重构了DeFi。如何把以太坊最大可能向web2世界融合，脱虚向实，才是大家应该真正预期的新Summer所在。 以上。 Note：作为一个长期的以太坊Holder，真心盼望以太坊能够走出内忧外患的至难时刻。但还是想强调，以太坊生态汇聚了最大规模的Geeker，也是对创新最敏感的领地，只要市场走出当下困局，相信以太坊还会是力挽狂澜最靓的仔。 以上碎碎念仅抛出了一些问题，至于以太坊layer2如何破局？敬请期待，我的下一篇文章。若认可我的思考，请帮忙一键三连互动支持为谢。 ----------------- 认可我持续干货内容输的朋友，可以访问我推特首页点击Substack专栏订阅一下（目前还免费），更多深度专业的投研和分析内容，尤其是不适宜在推特公开分享的内容，会在那里看到。

2024预测，纯粹猜想，有诸多偏见，不能做投资建议，仅当娱乐，不必当真。 1.L2依然会是2024年最重要的叙事之一。随着dencun升级的到来，L2费用大幅度下降会带来L2生态的爆发。在L2上除了游戏、perp、defi、nft，还有social、depin等也会迎来爆发期。 2.arb、op、zksync、starknet以及blast等L2在全方面与其他公链展开竞争，且随着EIP-4844的落地，以及DA层的演化，在费用和速度上与高性能公链并驾齐驱，arbitrum和solana的生态竞争会是2024年的一大重要看点。 3.zksync在2024年会推出经济机制，成为推动L2爆发的一支重要力量。 4.starknet如果实现突破，会从全链游戏叙事开启。 5. 2024年有一个L2项目稀释后总市值突破1000亿美元；乐观情况下，周期高峰时期会有一个L2稀释后总市值突破3000亿美元。L2市场最终格局在2024年还无法确定，不过这个周期之后会基本定局。 6.btc生态经过铭文一役已经打开了魔盒，有很多团队在进行扩展方面的探索，其中包括索引的去中心化、铭文体系进化、去中心化跨链、zk证明、L2等诸多探索等，一旦取得进展，一是自身生态会发展；二是跟以太坊生态融合也会加速。btc生态的探索是这一周期最引人注目的演化之一。 7.以太坊L1逐渐演化成为B2B链，普通用户的绝大多数交互会发生在L2/L3以及少数高性能L1上，以太坊逐渐成为加密领域的底层资产。同时，随着模块化区块链的演化，以太坊会成为最重要的结算层，多数执行层和部分DA层会外包出去，但最终来说，由于最底层安全的需求，ETH依然会捕获整体生态增长的价值。 8.跟2023年的预测相同，模块化在2024年依然会是重要叙事，尤其会在DA层进行激烈竞争。以太坊再质押领域也会进入DA层进行角逐。在模块化领域，cosmos生态和以太坊生态有竞争也有融合。第三方DA和原生DA之间之间会有竞争，在danksharding没有实现之前，L2急迫的市场需求导致第三方DA存在一定规模的需求。 9.除以太坊和BTC生态之外，cosmos和solana生态也会持续发展，这跟去年年初的预测保持一致。cosmos会通过模块化取得进展；solana则通过一些应用取得进展。此外，随着模块化区块链的成熟，solana其中的一个演化方向是跟其他L2一样，参与到更广阔的加密生态中，跟以太坊的融合度会更高，从而捕获更大价值。 10.web3游戏在L2/L3（arb、starknet等）实现突破，有一款游戏用户超过百万（2023年没有实现，2024应该到了成熟的时机）。基于Arb的游戏链会成为web3游戏突破的前沿阵地。magic在2024随着游戏链+更多游戏的互操作性推出，对web3游戏演化产生重要启示。 11.blur除了融合nft dex、nft借贷、blast之外，预计今年进入nft perp，甚至是L2、btc以及sol生态的nft市场，blur在2024依然有机会扮演最重要的行业搅局者之一。 12.以太坊生态除了L2上项目爆发，预计还会产生较大规模的通缩，从而实现价值捕获。跟其他L1链增发+费用归矿工做安全费用不同，全部新增和费用反馈给质押及持有用户，这会激励更多用户进行质押/再质押，从而进一步锁定流通中的eth。 13.defi中的perp在2024会得到大规模发展，snx、gmx、gns、dydx等都会产生至少5倍于2023年的交易量；perp在牛市不一定是重要叙事，但大概率是基本面最好赛道之一。 14.模块化区块链和跨链技术的推进，会导致以太坊生态与btc生态、Solana生态的融合，这一周期会涌现很多目前还不怎么知名的项目。按照目前btc生态演化，其中有一条路径可能是以太坊承载btc的二层，如果成真，比特币和以太坊的融合度会逐步提升。不管如何，btc的扩展需要走自己的原生道路，类似于atomicals这样的协议，如果能把avm做出来，对btc生态发展会产生重要影响。 15.depin在solana和arbitrum上取得一些突破，这一赛道依然处于建设早期，更多探索类项目会出来。 16. AI依然距离实际落地有较长的距离，但不影响它成为2024年重要叙事之一，基于L2和高性能公链的AI协议也会逐步出现。 17.以太坊再抵押赛道在今年某个时候会成为重要叙事之一。 18.NFT、MEME以及铭文在某个时候复苏，同时带来NFT DEX交易量的上涨，并为NFT Perp推出提供市场基础。 19.部分名人进入nft、meme、铭文领域。 20.随着L2的发展和高频应用的探索，智能合约钱包有机会在2024年开始崭露头角。
