On a flight back after 8 days in San Francisco. I’ve been back every year since 2021. City was buzzing this year. Bars and restaurants packed. People walking the streets. Delores Park body to body yesterday. SF is definitely back!

Klinsmann doesn’t get enough praise for his 2014 WC side. If not for Jozy’s injury, I think we could have gone further than round of 16. The fact we made it out of the group with Portugal and Germany is an achievement all on its own. It’s insane. Klinsmann deserves more…

@Dhaneye Him competing and looking decent against the Portugal midfield... that's actually a positive sign. He can play with the big boys. If he has a decent World Cup, expect a move to a Top 6 league, playing for a decent side.

@EinSchwarzwelt It's not a stupid tackle if there was >50% chance that we get the ball there and are in a dangerous attacking spot. Look how wide open Pulisic is to receive a pass if they lose it.

@TemarcWinter You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Going to ground that quickly with a stupid tackle immediately takes you out of the sequence if the tackle doesn't make it in time.. That's not proper defending which is why going to ground is only done as a last resort.

This is nonsense. Pulisic has routinely made these lists in recent years. Two bad months of form doesn’t change that. Also McKennie is probably that right now. Jedi was pre-injury too. They have better players, but stop making excuses and demeaning the level of your own players.

@Dhaneye This the result of a counterattack with the ball lost in far up in the midfield by Mckennie being dumb. Blaming it all on Morris/Berhalter is a joke. Jedi was the one most out of position, so if there's any blame it's on two of our cherished Euro players.

@USMNTCORNER I thought Berhalter and Morris did a decent job against one of the best midfields in the world. They can't be scapegoated. Objectively, no one should freak out if either of them make it to the final roster.

Everyone wants to blame Roldan, Berhalter, & all the other MLSers. I get it. But understand this: I'm not defending them, but I am pointing out that this was the lineup that beat Uruguay 5-1. I think the bigger issue is how Poch sets us up. Not necessarily who's on the field.

@herculezg They are creating more opportunities than they would have under Gregg. We have more guys 10-20 competing for spots that have shown up at times.

@C_Derm @ConcacafEdgar No. Have you played soccer? There is a Portuguese defender that would intercept any pass on the ground (9/10 times). He could try and chip in the air to the furtherest up the field player- which is what he did, but it went over him.

@TemarcWinter @ConcacafEdgar There are 3 players that he could pass to right in front of him. Instead of looking up to see that no one is making a run he just clears the ball like he's a fullback under pressure.

@MicheleG3 Top 100 is highly debatable. He's trying to temper expectations and maybe motivate Pulisic.

While I agree with the most obvious statement that Portugal and Belgium have more individual talent than the USMNT… 1. What’s the point of saying this? 2. Pulisic is top 100. 3. Again, why say this?

@Jadentheman1 He had good touches on the ball in the limited time today. Can see him trying to orchestrate some stuff, but the match was too disjointed in the end to develop it out.

I worry about Gio Reyna's chances with the final roster. He played garbage minutes in both matches and barely has touched the ball or done anything. With his club play being near nonexistent I don't know if he'll make it 😢😢😢
