Exacerbated by the fact that Hamas embeds its military operations in civilian infrastructure. They’re a smaller force, so of course they rely on guerrilla tactics, blending in and hiding in plain sight. That’s what any weaker side would do when facing an opponent backed by one of the most powerful militaries in the world. The IDF then destroyed all infrastructure; hospitals and schools were reduced to rubble. Beyond the bombing, it cut off food supplies, leaving women and children to starve. That’s not just warfare; that’s a deliberate and systematic attempt to wipe people out. In other words, genocide.

What do you call the mass killing of women and children, tens of thousands even by conservative estimates? Especially when it’s carried out by the same force that has demonstrated the capability for highly targeted operations, bombs in pagers, tracking individuals with devices, and striking precise locations, killing high-value targets using bombs through windows of apartment buildings, not bringing the whole building down from hundreds of miles away. That contrast is hard to ignore.

You think there's a genocide going on. There isn't. The false accusation of genocide IS antisemitism. I don't agree with everything the State of Israel does, just as I don't agree with everything Britain does, but there's a difference between disagreeing with policy, and false accusations.

I’m glad we can agree on that, no one is being forced into anything. For those of us who don’t agree, myself included, speaking out could show the world that not every Jew supports Netanyahu. Maybe then we wouldn’t all be treated the same or seen as defending a genocide and war mongering we don’t agree with.

You're being obtuse, Donna. You can denounce Green or Reform Party policies without condemning all British people. The world has enough common sense to know that most ordinary Jews in Israel have no power over what is happening. They are innocent bystanders. The current government is unruly.
