Houston people…I need a CPA. I had a great Aggie from 2007-2023. He sold most of his small business clients. Guy that took over was great in 2024. Since then he sold to some firm and they sold to another and now it’s nothing but bots, Docusigns, forms, and checkboxes.

I love Superman, but that wasn't Superman. Both my 9 year old and 13 year old were bored. They took a character and story with numerous layers and complexities and reduced them to the point where they become void of any meaning and heart. Looks like I'm not alone.

@robertoblake Long clips are really undervalued as well. They often get more views than the original 1 hour video.

Reactivated the highlights channel after a 2 year break… Originally the first 50 videos were long form and most of them got 50-75% retention. Now we are posting longer than 60 second shorts daily and getting good views with only 400 subs. No algorithm penalty. Another superstition debunked.

@benjaminboman_ People are hyper sensitive about self promotion on platforms designed to share cool stuff. If you share something cool, helpful and provides value to people for free (even if you made it) then I don't see how that's considered 'spam'.

Noticed my posts went missing on the Product Hunt forum. Emailed support. 2 were hidden from view because they were self promotional (of my blog). Fair call, no big deal. But a 3rd, asking hunters their favourite business and Indiehacker blogs, was delisted with them. When I asked for the reasoning? It's "something someone could input into a search engine" and is somehow still self promotion. Meanwhile that place is full of fake engagement bait community posts from 6 people at the same org. I don't blame people for seeing it is a cheap place to score a link and nothing else.
