@TNOQuoProQuid I get the feeling that the whole of US leadership is a "working towards the Führer" situation where Trump vaguely outlines his jingoism and an overzealous military staff prepare plans for his glance-over and nod, so it's really just rot enabled at the highest levels

trump sounds awful and seems to have no exact details about what his own policy is. this entire address is just very vague for something that is going to have very immediate and direct consequences on the US security situation.

trump just said that the US is going to be running venezuela and there are going to be "boots on the ground". "We're not afraid of boots on the ground. [...] We're gonna make sure the country's gonna be run properly."
