Whether you’re a fan of VAR or not, we need more of this in the future. Referee from the @aleaguemen walking through the process.

Just like that, Arsenal are down to 10-men! Gabriel Martinelli picks up two yellow cards in quick succession and Michael Oliver gives him his marching orders 🟥

Jorginho backpass. Good refereeing from Andre Marriner to allow play to develop after Kepa handled the backpass. Makes no sense to award a free-kick over a goal. GK cannot be sent off for this. It would be a FK on the edge of the 6-yard box. #CHEARS

The abuse of match officials is NEVER ok, & will never be tolerated. Seeing experienced & valued match officials walk away from the game due to the abuse they’ve received should worry us all, collectively. Without match officials, there is no game. We must all stamp it out.

A great interview with level 2B referee Mike Ryan. @SussexCountyFA continue to do a great job in promoting stories from the refereeing community. Hopefully these help inspire people to take up the whistle as well as provide fans and players with insights in to why referees do it.

It would not surprise us if a certain ex PGMOL boss and his cohort scream how poor these match officials are to allow Jewellery on the field of play and call for Mike Rikey to be immediately sacked for it.🙄

"It is so far from reality to think a referee drives home singing along to music after getting a big decision wrong in the Premier League." Here's what it's like to officiate at the highest levels of football - by two men who did just that 👉 bbc.in/2OBm42N

@jtpetherick @TheRefsReport @ellinr60 Hi James and @TheRefsReport, our official answer is following: If the second cautionable (Yellow Card) offence relates to a goal or penalty incident then the goal/penalty is reviewed and if an offence is identified and requires a Yellow Card it must be issued. Best regards
