Seeing August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone on Broadway way such a dream come true. Reading August in high school I always said I wanted to see his plays live and the fact that I got to go back stage and meet the cast and stand on stage and dream and manifest made this NYC trip worth while. God and my ancestors told me, “You are the open door, LaDarrion. Keep writing.” Soon and very soon my plays will be on stages like this.
