@Sakon_FGC You can learn this by recording a bot in training mode doing 2D then either a grab or a meaty cS; you'll see you can block the meaty cS and jump the throw by default Then it will be on the opponent to switch up their timings, which is one of the main reasons strive is so fun

@Sakon_FGC Once they look for the delay option, you can use non delayed options to blow them up (jump out of the corner, mash a long range button, backdash early to reset neutral midscreen, mash throw to grab people trying to call out backdash, stuff like that)

Strive improved a lot with all the qol changes but generic strike/throw mixups still feel scary and boring to deal with. Like every character feels like dealing with some Preecha level of bullshit. The huge pro is that the entire cast has a unique, interesting setplay
