Respect the grind, but Willie was having more Grade 1 winners in an afternoon at the Festival than Skelton has managed all season.

🤯 RECORD BREAKER! 👏 Dan Skelton becomes the first jumps trainer to surpass the £4million prize-money barrier, in history! 📊 He leads Willie Mullins by over £2million in the standings, as his charge towards a first Trainers’ Championship continues.

Sometimes you have to stand up for something you believe in. With the Welsh Government voting to ban greyhound racing in Wales we firstly must condemn the rushed vote especially when considering a judgment is imminent from the Welsh High Court who have heard evidence from the Welsh Civil Service highlighting that their was not enough evidence for a ban. Its shows an absolute lack of respect for the law. A Judicial review can overturn a government's decision if they feel its unfair and unjust. I think the fact that the Civil Service's evidence surely suggests that. I hope the Justices also look deeply at the vote for the Welsh budget whilst considering their judgements. Greyhound Racing in the UK's Welfare standards are the highest of any sports. We are inspected a minimum of twice by the Stipendiary Stewards once by the Regional Regulatory Veterinarian. One Independent Audit and Once by the Local Stewards in a twelve month period. The dogs are also seen by a vet each time they race. Injury rates are published because @DefraGovUK wants that information like they also want dogs to be earmarked. I know of many retired greyhounds who have injured themselves in a garden, field or on a street on or off lead, minor or life threatening injuries but because they are pets this information unfortunately does not exist but it still happens. Local authorities inspect boarding kennels anually or up to three years dependent on ratings. Ive seen recently a boarding kennel in the news locally regarding a number of dogs bodies being discovered. Anti Rescues say they have dogs sitting in rescues that because Covid saw a boom after the pandemic regarding homings a fact that can easily be verified by looking at Greyhound Trusts published Data. It amazes me how the @WelshGovernment and now UK Green Party MPs like @AdrianRamsay have public denounced Greyhound racing without considering evidence from both pro and anti perspectives. @lisanandy stated in Parliament Greyhound Racing will not be banned in England only last year!
