@VideoGameIX You know it's fake because it included Claire when Capcom clearly didn't.

@nemuriforest You might like this thread by me. Also the Whispers start harassing Sephiroth after he strikes Barret. So they seem unbothered by Sephiroth until Sephiroth starts mucking up fate.

Here's a thread on the Whispers and why they are exactly what the game is telling us that they are. As well as how that connection bridges into Rebirth. JP script referenced, as well as both Ultimanias.
English

@TooliusManicus If Sephiroth controls some whispers to monitor Cloud, it does not contradict the chart, nor is it necessarily misleading. The chart includes many repeated lack of information descriptions.
There are fate whispers and black whispers. In Remake, the party couldn’t tell them apart.

@midgardeners27 It's foreshadowing the end, not Rebirth's end. Guardia burning, Varvados banished to the void, and Omnislash?
Yeah it sounds like the end of part 3, not Rebirth.
English

Bringing this one back again since Loveless was acknowledged yesterday.
I really believe Loveless isn’t just mean to be a parallel for Rebirth and only Rebirth. It’s foreshadowing for part 3 and the whole trilogy in a nutshell!
midgardeners17@midgardeners27
Theory: Loveless is both a parallel to Rb & foreshadowing for p3. The hero (Cloud) will have to make a choice between the Goddess’s blessing or revenge. Cloud has two contrasting materia at the end of Rb. Which one he chooses to use will determine the fate of the world. (1/10)

@DustinHenryVO Zack seems to be a central part of the plot involving the yellow flowers and Aerith. I'll probably do it tomorrow while watching basketball, so just keep your eyes out.
English

@TooliusManicus This is fantastic! Thanks for putting this together! I'd love to hear the other thoughts you have regarding Aerith's side of things for sure. Might as well throw Marlene and Zack into the mix too!
English

@aiamaixg I think that scene is meant to be misleading. In the chart they just call it "monitoring Cloud".
Remake wants you to think that Sephiroth is in control, but he's not. The Whispers start to harass Sephiroth after he attacks Barret and Sephiroth has to dispel them with a slash.

English

In Remake, Sephiroth possessed a whisper to talk to Cloud while he was sleeping. The subtitle marked that line as spoken by Seph.
Before the whispers broke Jessie’s leg, you fight three whispers with bright bulbs. This battle is probably to introduce the whispers that are controlled by S in Remake, tho there were only a few.

@ValkyriaNox @ectogamut Different reunions in my opinion. The Reunion that we all expect will still happen early in part 3, however given how they've set up Zack, I suspect that we'll get a second convergence of worlds in the back half of part 3 that will weave Zack's story and the main one together.
English

@ectogamut @TooliusManicus What's going to happen to the world?
There's 3 events.
"The convergence of worlds."
(greatly expanding how "Reunion" is applied)
An event that was stopped at end he end of Rebirth-- And will still happen, very early in part 3.
[Lifestream sequence is the counter.]
[Endgame.]
English

@DesuScorpion7 White Whispers are less clear for sure, but that's to be expected because we've only had one game with them. They'll certainly be tied to either Aerith's plan or to some new plan formulated by the Planet. Possibly both. I'll post some speculation about them in the next piece.
English

@TooliusManicus Thanks for the read, chief. It seems like the Whispers are overall a lot more straightforward than some might think. Though I do find Rebirth's White Whispers to be mysterious when you consider their actions.
English

@ectogamut @ValkyriaNox This is also the sentiment that Sephiroth seems to keep repeating to Cloud. It seems like Sephiroth understands that he will inevitably fail unless he can corrupt or otherwise depower Cloud. I think it plays into why he's manifesting in the Lifestream to protect certain memories.
English

@ValkyriaNox @TooliusManicus I’m reminded of how Chadley once said Cloud has infinite potential, I think that was in Remake. That’s what I like about the Clear Materia. It’s evocative of Cloud’s unknown and undefined nature at this point. You’re meant to think he could go either way: black or white. Intense!
