True Light's founder Pastor Alice Piggee-Wallack, met a warm hostess at a local restaurant who informed the pastor that the support she had received from True Light and their staff helped her secure that job. These full-circle moments drive our motivation for this work.

A woman had been sober for more than 70 days when she entered True Light's emergency cold-weather overnight shelter last winter. Utilizing the overnight shelter as well as Emancipation Station, our day shelter for women, and our community meals allowed her to focus on recovery.

This Giving Tuesday is a cold one! Imagine spending it outside not knowing where your next meal is coming from. Our services touch the elderly, the homeless, the hungry, the underfunded, the children, and the moms trying to get by. truelightfrc.kindful.com
