36-60 hours on duty, extreme pressure, and zero humanity in govt medical colleges! 300 junior doctors quit their PG seats in Maharashtra alone. 25 have already died by suicide due to this slave-like exploitation. @NMC_IND @JPNadda you are silently watching young doctors being murdered by overwork. Blood is on your hands! How many more lives before you act, you spineless regulators?

783 PG medical seats are lying vacant in Karnataka. Unlike previous years, this time there are seats in derma, gen medicine, radiodiagnosis, gynaec, ortho and respiratory medicine that have found no takers. Most of them are high fee category. @S_PrakashPatil @NMC_IND @VCRguhs

The next social justice reform the govt should bring is UPG (Universal Patient Guarantee). 1. If, despite so much social justice reforms, a reserved or management-quota doctor is not able to get patients in their OPDs, UPG will come into the picture. 2. UPG flying squads will roam around city clinics and monitor patient load. If needed, they will then pick up patients from waiting area of unreserved clinics and redistribute them to reserved/management-quota clinics. 3. Any patient resisting this will be reported by the UPG flying squad to the UPG legal squad, which will conduct a preliminary inquiry and then recommend to the police to book such patients under the Atrocities Act. 4. Clinics with excess patient load will be declared “Patient Hoarders” and asked to display a red warning board: “This clinic has more patients than socially permissible.” Such clinics will pay a 50% UPG tax. 5. Patients showing repeated preference for unreserved doctors will be mandatorily enrolled in a Sensitivity & Equality Counselling Programme, where they will be taught by JNU arts faculty that “competence is a social construct.” 6. A Patient Redistribution App (UPG-Setu) will be launched. Patients booking unreserved doctors more than twice will be automatically reassigned to nearby reserved/management-quota clinics in the interest of equity. 7. Emergency cases will be triaged by a UPG task force consisting of a retired judge, and two serving IAS officers, who will assess patients not by severity but by representation deficit and divert patients to underperforming clinics. 8. Patients attempting to cross city limits to avoid UPG allocation will be stopped at checkpoints by the Patient Equity Police and redirected to the nearest compliant clinic. It might sound absurd right now, but given the direction the republic is heading in, who knows what’s possible.

What a stupid logic! 1. Completing MBBS is not a measure of competence because first, candidates enter MBBS through the same diluted cut-offs and reservation regime, and then pass due to an increasingly lenient examination system. There was a time under Pune University in Maharashtra when nearly half a batch failed First MBBS. After liberalisation and the shift to MUHS, Nashik, failure became uncommon. And since NMC replaced MCI, failure has become impossible thanks to commercialisation, lenient exams, inflated internals, moderation, and fear of complaints ensure that once admitted, students pass regardless of competence. 2. If qualifying MBBS truly guaranteed clinical and cognitive competence, that competence would logically manifest in NEET-PG. Instead, the system now requires dragging the cut-off down to –40 to accommodate candidates. In an exam where someone blindly marking one option for all questions can score 50 marks, someone scoring –40 reflects the lowest level of intellectual performance known to mankind. Can you call them competent? If MBBS alone guarantees competence, NEET-PG is redundant. Ranking is pointless. Merit is irrelevant. Random seat allocation would suffice. So a better logic from the Centre would have been that they are reducing the cut-off to minus 40 to foil some deep-state conspiracy, which the cattle class would realise in 2047.

The Centre arguing in the Supreme Court today that just passing MBBS is enough proof of "competence" for a PG seat is an absolute joke. If clearing your undergrad is the only benchmark we need, why even conduct NEET PG? Just scrap the exam. They are literally defending lowering the cutoff to MINUS 40. Do people realize what a negative score actually means? It doesn’t mean the candidate just left the paper blank because they didn't know the answer. It means they confidently and repeatedly chose the WRONG answer. Now translate that to a hospital ward. Confidently choosing the wrong diagnosis or the wrong drug doesn't get you a participation trophy, it kills the patient. We all know the reality of medical colleges in India. Standards vary wildly from college to college. NEET PG is supposed to be the great equalizer to make sure only people with actual, tested knowledge get to specialize and handle critical cases. You cannot look at a candidate who scores in the negatives on a standardized test and say, "Well, he has an MBBS degree, so he's competent enough to be a surgeon or an MD." Let’s stop pretending this is about "preventing a shortage of doctors." This entire circus is just a bailout for private medical colleges. They have multicrore management quota seats sitting empty because the candidates who have the money to buy them can't even clear the bare minimum cutoff. Selling out India's healthcare system and compromising patient safety just to keep private college balance sheets green is sickening. Stop lowering the bar just to fill empty chairs. Ye bik Chuki hai gormint
