This bridge represents a foundational breakthrough for the ecosystem. It is the first non-custodial solution to directly connect Lightning Network and Hydra using HTLCs, enabling atomic, instant value transfers without relying on any third party. No one ever holds your funds except you - providing 100% user safety, unlike traditional bridges that rely on lock-and-mint / burn-and-mint models. The project unlocks the ability for Cardano dApps to receive micropayments directly from thousands of Lightning users, with sub-2-second settlement times and no custody of user funds.
