Finnish baseball is a ridiculously fast-paced game where the players are in really tough shape. There is a lot more tactics in the outfield and infield

Plans for the UFC event on the White House lawn are starting to come into focus. The fight card is set for June 14 as part of the celebration marking America’s 250th birthday, with President Trump previously calling it the “greatest show on Earth.” During a recent White House visit with UFC fighters, Trump shared renderings of the setup, showing the Octagon positioned on the South Lawn with the White House as the backdrop and seating for roughly 4,000 spectators surrounding the cage.

@Parkkikiekko @LiskoTouko @Tuukka32279208 @Stefu60 @jarvansalo Tuon putken pitäisi olla ruostumatonta terästä ja jokaisen kerroksen kohdalla pitäisi myöskin olla putkessa palokatko. Katolle asti se ei tässä tilanteessa mene.

Onhan tuo Kalasataman tulipalo aika mystinen juttu. Talon neljännen kerroksen parvekkeella pariskunta hieman grillailee huolimattomasti niin kahdeksan kerroksisen talon katto syttyy palamaan. Siinä on onnettomuustutkinnalla ihmettelemistä.

Minulla on yksi kysymys, liittyen Kalasataman tulipaloon. Tapahtuneesta onnettomuudesta on kerrottu useissa uutisissa, mutta missään ei mainita sitä, millä on oikeasti merkitystä. Tuli karkasi parvekkeelta ja eteni kerroksesta kerrokseen katolle. Suomessa kerrostalot rakennetaan yleensä niin, ettei tuli pääse leviämään asunnosta talon rakenteisiin, eikä parvekepalonkaan pitäisi levitä. Nyt tuli kuitenkin levisi ja talo on alle kymmenen vuotta vanha. Mikä kysymys minua siis askarruttaa? Mikä rakennusyhtiö rakentaa yhä taloja, joiden palo-osastointi on näin katastrofaalisen huono? Rakennuksen rakentaja oli Lemminkäinen Talo Oy (nykyisin YIT) ja rakennuttaja punapääoman linnake VVO (nykyisin Kojamo). Arkkitehtiä kai on turha syyttää – talohan oli kaunis, vaikka olikin toimimaton ja asukkaiden omaisuudelle vaarallinen - mikä talo ei olisi? yle.fi/a/74-20227615

@fabianschmid_09 My only beef was the score...lacked that Barry-esque brassiness. They did put that back in "Tomorrow Never Dies"

watched Goldeneye yesterday. great fucking movie. has easily made it into my top 5, if not top 3 Bond movies. Pierce Brosnan moves with so much suave, has a great balance of coolness and warmth and is effortlessly elegant. lots of lessons in movies.
