@Jxmo_1 The esport itself is unsustainable. A BR with 30 teams per region and 40 teams at LAN will not be sustainable. There is not enough money or viewership to go around. Team skins or org support will not fix this.

Going into pro league unsigned after a 4th at Champs is very unfortunate Tragic that orgs aren’t supported in ALGS

@ImMadnessTV I love comp apex but I don't think it appeals enough to the general audience. The gameplay can be very slow at the beginning of a match. With so few people watching it wouldn't make sense for EA to invest in skins or even for orgs to sign a team.

The downfall of Competitive Apex Legends Not even 2 years ago, 22 out of 30 Pro League teams were signed to organizations. While this Pro League has only 7 out of 30 teams signed, roughly a 68% decrease in signed teams. Can anything save competitive Apex Legends at this point?

@Alliance_Hakis @PlayApex A competitive game shouldn't need different rules across ranks. I think a completely different mode is needed.

Safe to say the ALGS Sapporo event was one for the books. So honored to be able to capture and create for this game and its players. Couldn’t have done it at all without my boys Zach and Blake. The memories made and what we accomplished will always be special to me. I’ll honestly never understand how I got the privilege of this position but, I’ll never take it for granted. @chris_pipher Makes sense. I have definitely noticed the lack of visa issues. I just think that there is time throughout the year for a fourth LAN event. Thanks for the insight.

@_Bryan_A_ Thanks Bryan! We do our best to minimize gaps in the year, but for Champs, we aim to leave ~12–14 weeks between qualification and the event to ensure we can secure JP player visas. It’s working so far, as we’ve had a 100% visa success rate for Champs over the last two years.

Year 5 Championship wrapped — thank you to ALGS fans and the City of Sapporo for making it special! Year 6 is right around the corner, but for now, if you competed in or watched the #ALGS this year, my team would love to hear what worked, what didn’t, and what we should improve?

@zachmazer I'm really hoping that EA is stricter with roster changes next year. Assuming that we will even get 3 LANs next year.

Its official I wont be playing at champs or for any team. I'm excited to see what EA going Private means for Apex and ill likely watch party Champs and ALGS events. Tough situation to go from best team in NA to teamless to not playing at champs within 3 weeks. ❤️❤️❤️

@zachmazer @EA @PlayApexEsports @PlayApex Unfortunately, EA has zero reason to do this. Apex is a casual game that is doing pretty well for how old it is. Daily 200k on steam while algs is dying. The game is clearly doing well without the esport.

We need an R301 meta in Apex Legends

@Jxmo_1 Im only an hour into the conversation but (so far) I feel like people aren't speaking enough about if investing into algs is worth it for EA. In order for them to do more, they would have to lose money. Org skins, more tournaments, a partner program, etc would lose them money.

Just finished a solid 3 hour conversation on stream about some major issues in the Apex comp scene right now with MinusTempo, Deeds, and a special guest from the corporate side Hopefully we raised some awareness for things to be done from all sides. My personal TLDR is: >EA bring team skins to game to generate revenue for teams, players, orgs to support themselves and invest into the scene >Esport orgs work some contracts to get players more involved in the community and sponsors >Players bring more professionalism to our esport (myself included) Hopefully we can find some sustainability because if things stay how it is now it's just going to be a downward trend

@BalvarineFPS @Potatoe_salaad @Jxmo_1 Yes, it needs to be built up slowly over the years. Providing more support as time goes on. Shareholders don't have the patience like you said tho. Or maybe they don't believe in the product.

@_Bryan_A_ @Potatoe_salaad @Jxmo_1 true. I think investing into Competitive, even using at as a loss leader, is the wiser choice long term. But idk if the shareholders have that patience if their incentives align with quarterly earnings.

So far every org we have talked with has said there is no incentive to enter Apex because there's no support for them to financially invest into a team even if they stream, are down to do content, have a large social following, and a guaranteed invite to Champs Very unfortunate

@BalvarineFPS @Potatoe_salaad @Jxmo_1 The difference is the scale of the esports. Cs is massive compared to apex. Apex isnt popular enough for the number of orgs in the game that want support.

@Potatoe_salaad @Jxmo_1 Valve gives revenue sharing for player/team stickers. Navi made 7 figures off a cancelled major in CSGO dexerto.com/csgo/navi-esl-… Apex tried something with team banners, but it could have been how they executed it instead of the idea itself.

@talmadgeapex @ImperialHal @Jxmo_1 What's in it for EA tho? That's what we should be focusing on. EA doesn't see value in comp apex. They don't see it as a worthwhile investment. I'm not defending them btw. I think that they should be less greedy and support orgs.

@ImperialHal @Jxmo_1 Orgs I've been with in the past love this game and the faces at the top. They don't like EA keeping their hands in their pockets. There has to be a common ground orgs and EA can meet at so more people can invest in the game year-round (players and orgs).
